Feel Reformed is a UK-based wellness brand redefining the morning coffee ritual. Combining high-grade Colombian coffee and ceremonial matcha with hydrolysed collagen peptides, adaptogens, and over 21 vitamins and minerals, their products sit at the intersection of function and flavour. Stocked in Selfridges, featured in GQ, WIRED, Vogue, and The Guardian, and backed by 3,200+ five-star reviews — Reformed had outgrown its storefront.
Reformed's existing Shopify store had been built up over time through multiple rounds of development, third-party app integrations, and quick-fix customisations. The result was a technically bloated storefront weighed down by redundant code, conflicting scripts, and performance bottlenecks. Page load times were slower than acceptable for a brand of this scale, and the underlying codebase made iterating on new features increasingly difficult and expensive.
The brief was clear: an exact visual replica of the current site — preserving every brand touchpoint the customer had come to know — but rebuilt from scratch on a clean, maintainable foundation. No shortcuts. No leftover technical debt.
We rebuilt the entire storefront on Shopify Plus using the Horizon theme as a performance-first base, customising every section to faithfully match the existing design while stripping away the bloat. The homepage was reconstructed with a full-width hero slideshow, rich mega menu navigation with product imagery and quick-shop links, a press logo bar featuring GQ, Vogue, WIRED and The Guardian, embedded video testimonials, a product comparison table, clinical study statistics, and an FAQ accordion — all built cleanly from scratch rather than stitched together with third-party apps.
Product pages were rebuilt as dedicated conversion engines — annotated hero imagery with ingredient callouts, flavour and collagen-type selectors, tiered volume bundles with up to 30% savings, and a subscription-first "Flexible Plan" bundling free accessories to drive recurring revenue. A slide-out drawer cart with a free shipping progress bar, automatic free gift injection, and cross-sell recommendations rounds out the purchase flow. Subscription management is handled through Recharge, multi-currency support runs through Shopify Markets, and features like the refer-a-friend programme, recipes section, and customer accounts were all carried over — this time on a clean, maintainable codebase built to scale.
The rebuilt storefront delivers the same premium brand experience customers know and trust — but on an entirely new foundation. By eliminating years of accumulated technical debt, redundant app scripts, and inefficient code, we delivered a store that is significantly leaner and faster. The clean codebase means new features and seasonal campaigns can now be implemented quickly without the risk of breaking existing functionality, giving the Reformed team the agility their growth demands.
