The brand is about atmosphere, so the site had to lead with photography and stay out of the way: big images, quiet type, nothing competing with the work. That’s harder than it sounds when you also care about speed.

The content isn’t simple either. Twenty-three project stories across six sectors — each with its own images, story and client quote — filterable on the projects page and featured on the homepage. Testimonials reused in more than one place. An FAQ split into general, technical, support and licensing. Six offices, each with its own phone, email and contact path, plus an enquiry form that routes by region.

All of that had to be editable by their team, with no developer in the loop — and still feel like one site, not a pile of templates.

We sorted the content model before building pages. A project story holds sector, region, imagery and quotes, so one document feeds the projects index, the filters, the homepage and the story page itself. Testimonials are their own documents — person, property, quote — and get reused wherever they’re needed. Offices work the same way: add a region in Sanity and it shows up in the footer, on the approach page, and in the enquiry form. If an editor might want to change it, it isn’t hard-coded.

The front end is Next.js, server-rendered so pages arrive ready rather than assembling in the browser. Images go through Sanity’s pipeline as WebP, cropped and sized per breakpoint from one upload — which is how a photography-heavy site stays quick. Motion is light and image-led; it does its job and gets out of the way.

Everything lives in Music Concierge’s own accounts. The Studio is set up around how they actually work: the fields they need, none of the fluff.

The site looks like them — photography first, type second, no clutter. Their team publishes project stories, adds testimonials and updates offices themselves, and the site has grown since launch without someone asking a developer to “just add a page.”

For me it’s a useful reminder that the same habits I use on Shopify Plus — model the content properly, decide performance early, leave everything in the client’s accounts — work just as well on a brand site. It’s also the setup I offer agencies: a Next.js and Sanity build under their name, with the same kind of handover.
